Our TherapistsLydia Carter, MPT, Dipl. Canine Rehab (c) Lydia hails from Calgary, AB. From a young age, and likely due to participating in a wide variety of sports and activities, Lydia has been captivated by the intricacies of the human mind and body. This interest, paired with her desire to help people, led her to a career in Physical Therapy. She completed her kinesiology degree and then her Master of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Western Ontario, graduating in 2018. During her Master's degree, Lydia learned about The Canine Fitness Centre and its rehabilitation opportunities with dogs, sparking her immediate pursuit of this specialization. She describes herself as an animal lover and currently has two mixed-breed dogs (Jackson Mortimer and Benji), and a tuxedo cat (Kitty Purry) who she loves talking about. Lydia is thrilled to combine two of her passions through animal (canine) rehabilitation; she joined The Canine Fitness Centre Ltd team in the spring of 2024 and is very excited to be here! In her spare time, Lydia finds joy indulging in her many hobbies. You might find her adventuring with her dogs, playing in the snow, cycling along the river, tending to her garden, or whipping up delicious treats in the kitchen. |
