Carrie wasn't allowed to have a dog when she was growing up, but she made the most of spending time with her friends pups. As an adult when she was finally able to have dogs, she has owned a Basset Hound, an Australian cattle dog, several mixed breeds. But after adopting her first working line German shepherd, there was no looking back. That was the breed for her!
Over the years Carrie has been involved in pet obedience training, training hunting dogs, trick training, but her passions are scent detection and French Ring. She is currently working with her German shepherd, Glitch, to title in SDDA nosework, starting in Rally O, and also training to compete in French Ring next year.
Her dog experience before coming to the clinic includes, volunteering at the SPCA, fostering rescue dogs, working at a dog daycare, and taking care of a boarding kennel.
Carrie enjoys working one on one with dogs and their owners at the clinic in the Underwater Treadmill. She truly enjoys seeing the improvements in the dogs' well being as they progress through their physiotherapist prescribed programs.
