Jennifer Gordon, BSc.PT, CAFCI, CCRT

Jennifer completed her Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy program at the University of Saskatchewan in 2001.  Shortly after graduation, she completed her post -graduate certification in medical acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. Jen’s experience in human physiotherapy has been largely focused to orthopedics, and she has practiced in various private clinics in Calgary, AB.  She has also furthered her studies and specialized in sports medicine, and she has achieved her Certificate of Intermediate Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.  She currently works in private practice at Bragg Creek Physiotherapy Clinic, treating a variety of issues related to neuro-musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, motor vehicle accidents, postural stabilization, exercise prescription, as well as post surgical and sports related injures.

Over the last few years, Jennifer has expanded her interest in the field of physical therapy to include dogs.  In 2006, she attended the Introduction to Canine Rehabilitation course through the Animal Rehabilitation Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She has furthered that training by completing her Certification in Canine Rehabilitation Therapy through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in the USA. Jen joined The Canine Fitness Centre Ltd. as an associate in 2008, taking the opportunity of incorporating her knowledge experience in musculoskeletal biomechanics, gait analysis, manual therapy, and neuro-dynamics in humans to the canine client. Jen owns a Lab/Australian Shepherd cross named Millar, with whom she enjoys cross country skiing, running, and hiking with year round!  Jen and her hubby are busy parents to  two little girls who provide constant entertainment and activity!
